&lt;a href="http://www.rainbowplantfood.com/agronomics/efu/potassium.pdf"&gt;Potassium&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Nitrogen is the primary element that will make the plant, turf, or tree grow.&amp;nbsp; Nitrogen gives the ability for the plant to produce chlorophyll and is the only base fertilizer that will work when temperatures are below 60 degrees at night.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Phosphorus increases bloom or fruit yield and size, also assists in root development and strengthens stems of plants.&amp;nbsp; turf.  If you are letting grass go dormant you can water 3 times per week (once per week once nighttime lows are in the 60's)  and trees and plants can be watered about twice per week for a deeper watering (Once every week when lows hit the 60's).  With temperatures getting into the 70's at night you maybe enjoying the outdoors in the early morning and late evening so you may want to set the run time when you are out so you can locate leaks while enjoying a cup of coffee.
